Monday’s Joke - A Good Woman is Hard to Find

Monday 30 October 2006 @ 7:45 am

Two guys from Daniels County are quietly sitting in a boat at Fort Peck, Montana fishing and sucking down beer when suddenly Mel says, “I think I’m going to divorce my wife - she hasn’t spoken to me in over 2 months.”

Earl sips his beer and says, “You better think it over - women like that are hard to find.”

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Wall of Death at the Iron Horse Saloon

Wednesday 25 October 2006 @ 8:46 am

I have been making the trip down to Biketoberfest for the last 6 or 7 years. It is always a really good time and even though it is not as big an event as Bike Week in the Spring there is still a lot to see and do.

Every year we go and hangout at the Iron Horse Saloon of US1 in Ormond Beach. They alway have a lot going on there, burn out pit, lots of people to watch, good looking beer babes, vendors, concerts, just a ton of stuff to keep you entertained.

One thing that has been there year after year is the Wall of Death, but I had never taken the time (or ponied up the $5 bucks to see the show). This year we decided to check it out.

WAY COOL! These guys take vintage motorcycles and ride them at high speeds around this wooden barrel.

I took a couple of picks of one of the riders, Sandra D., riding a 1930 Indian Scout on the wall. They came out ok but I didn’t take but a couple of pics cause I couldn’t tell if they were turning out and I was really into the show.

If you get down to Bike Week or Biketoberfest (or just about any other major motorcycle event around the country) and you have the opportunity go see the show. It is well worth the $5. Even though the show probably does not change much from year to year or event to event, they will get my 5 spot where ever I run into them.

Visit the California Hell Riders Website for more info on the Wall of Death show, the California Hell Riders team, and events they will be at. There are also some great pics of the show there as well.

Monday’s Joke - The Pope in Alaska

Monday 23 October 2006 @ 7:59 am

It is a political joke, and I try to stay away from those, but this one is pretty good.

Enjoy….

The Pope took a couple of days off to visit the mountains of Alaska for some sight-seeing. He was cruising along the campground in the Pope-mobile when he noticed a huge commotion just at the edge of the woods.

A helpless Democrat, wearing sandals, shorts, a “Save the Whales” hat, and a “To Hell With Bush” T-shirt, was screaming while struggling frantically, thrashing around trying to free himself from the grasp of a 10-foot grizzly.

As the Pope watched horrified, a group of Republican loggers came racing up. One quickly fired a .44 magnum into the bear’s chest. The other two reached up and pulled the bleeding, semi-conscious Democrat from the bear’s grasp. Then using long clubs, the three loggers finished off the bear and two of them threw it’s carcass onto the bed of their truck while the other tenderly placed the injured Democrat in the back seat.

As they prepared to leave, the Pope summoned them to come over. “I give you my blessing for your brave actions!” he told them. “I heard there was a bitter hatred between Republican loggers and Democratic environmental activists but now I’ve seen with my own eyes that this is not true.”

As the Pope drove off smiling, one of the loggers asked his buddies: Who was that guy?”

“It was the Pope,” another replied. “He’s in direct contact with God and has access to all wisdom.”

“Well,” the first logger said, “he may have access to all wisdom but he sure doesn’t know anything about bear hunting! By the way, how’s the bait holding up - do we need to go back to Massachusetts and get another one?”

Have a great week!

Back From Biketoberfest

Sunday 22 October 2006 @ 6:56 pm

Pulled in earlier this afternoon. Had a great time down in Daytona at Biketoberfest as always. The last 300 miles or so of the trip was in the pissing cold rain - man is it good to be home.

All ChopperStickers.com orders that were placed while we were gone have been completed and will go out in the mail tommorrow.

Now it is time to kick back on the couch, have a cold one, and relax a bit.

More on our Biketoberfest trip as well as some pics will be posted soon.

Also, we have a few more new helmet sticker designs on the way and should have them in inventory by the end of the week.

That’s all for now time to rest up.

Monday’s Joke - Welfare Reform

Monday 9 October 2006 @ 8:29 am

A guy walks into the local welfare office, marches straight up to the
counter and says, “Hi… You know, I just HATE drawing welfare. I’d
really rather have a job.”

The social worker behind the counter says, “Your timing is excellent.
We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur
and bodyguard for his beautiful nymphomaniac daughter.
You’ll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he’ll supply all of your
clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided.
You’ll be expected to escort her on her overseas holiday trips.
You will have to satisfy her sexual urges. You’ll be provided a two-bedroom
apartment above the garage. The starting salary is $200,000 a year.”

The guy, wide-eyed, says, “You’re bullshittin’ me!”

The social worker says, “Yeah, well… you started it.”

Hope you guys had a great weekend. Only 1 week till Biketoberfest and I can hardly wait.
