I have been making the trip down to Biketoberfest for the last 6 or 7 years. It is always a really good time and even though it is not as big an event as Bike Week in the Spring there is still a lot to see and do.
Every year we go and hangout at the Iron Horse Saloon of US1 in Ormond Beach. They alway have a lot going on there, burn out pit, lots of people to watch, good looking beer babes, vendors, concerts, just a ton of stuff to keep you entertained.
One thing that has been there year after year is the Wall of Death, but I had never taken the time (or ponied up the $5 bucks to see the show). This year we decided to check it out.
WAY COOL! These guys take vintage motorcycles and ride them at high speeds around this wooden barrel.
I took a couple of picks of one of the riders, Sandra D., riding a 1930 Indian Scout on the wall. They came out ok but I didn’t take but a couple of pics cause I couldn’t tell if they were turning out and I was really into the show.

If you get down to Bike Week or Biketoberfest (or just about any other major motorcycle event around the country) and you have the opportunity go see the show. It is well worth the $5. Even though the show probably does not change much from year to year or event to event, they will get my 5 spot where ever I run into them.
Visit the California Hell Riders Website for more info on the Wall of Death show, the California Hell Riders team, and events they will be at. There are also some great pics of the show there as well.

Billy Lane turned himself in to Florida Authorities Today
Original News Story Can Be Found Here
COCOA — Local motorcycle builder Billy Lane turned himself in at 1 p.m. Monday in connection with a fatal accident Sept. 4, accordiing to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.
Among the charges Lane faces are driving under influence, manslaughter and driving with his license suspended.
Lane, 36, arrived with his lawyers at the Florida Highway Patrol office on State Road 520.
FHP spokeswoman Kim Miller said Lane’s blood alcohol level was .192 when the accident occurred on State Road A1A south of Melbourne Beach.
She said bond would be set at $15,000.
Investigators have said Lane was trying to pass two other vehicles on a double-yellow-lined stretch of A1A when his southbound 2006 Dodge Ram pickup collided with a northbound 1983 Yamaha moped, the report said.
Melbourne Beach resident Gerald Morelock, 56, was killed. Lane and a passenger in his truck were injured.
For almost 20 years, Lane has made a name for himself building custom “choppers.” He has appeared on the Discovery Channel’s “Bike Build-Off” and “Monster Garage.”
This Friday’s Biker Babe is the Beautiful Wendy from Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Wendy is looking good with her 78 Triumph Bonneville chopper. (Which by the way she wrenches on herself! - VERY HOT!).

Came across Big Mean Zeke on BikerWorlds.com. If you have not stopped by there it is a pretty cool place - kind of a MySpace for bikers.
Big Mean Zeke is a dude of many bikes but I saw this bike in his profile and thought it was really bad ass. So figured I would feature it here.
Here is what Zeke has to say about his scoot:
“…all I can say is a friend of mine Robert Edwards from Fatty’s Agressive Machinery in Burbank California put it together for me. We sat down and went over exactly what I wanted..I already had some parts..and ideas..but he is such an awesome fabricator….”

Here is a little about it:
Chopper guys frame with a paughco springer frontend
Revtech 100″ motor w/revtech 6 speed tranny
Fatkatz stretched aluminum tank
Custom oiltank
20″ ape hangers
Performance machine controls
180 Avon rear tire
BDL 3″ open primary
Seat by Tito
Spyke starter
Rear fender came off a boat trailer
And Zeke says - “its all good..and runs like a bat outta hell..”
Check out Big Mean Zeke’s Profile on BikerWorlds.com.
Great looking scoot man, thanks for letting me feature it here.
