The American Cruisers Motorcycle Club Chapter 54 would like to invite the biker community to the 10th Annual Edmarc Hospice for the Children Poker Ride.
Saturday June 12, 2010. At Roger Brown’s Restaurant and Bar Ports, Va. Buffet breakfast before a 90+ mile ride and back for bunch(included in registration fee). 100% of the proceeds go to Edmarc Hospice.
Registration start at 8:30 am
Cost $15.00 rider & $10.00 Pass.

It’s with a great deal of sadness that we pass on to you the passing of Michael Lee Horton. Michael is the son of one of Newport News’s finest, Sergeant Mike Horton of the Newport News PD. Many of you know Mike senior as a friendly patron of RJ’s Restaurant and Sports Pub.
Rarely do we have the ability to give back to our public servants that risk so much on our behalf. Please join us on a memorial ride to help support Michael’s son Shane on March 21. The ride will depart RJ’s Restaurant and Sports Pub (12473 Jefferson Avenue) about 1 p.m., travel the Colonial Parkway and Rt. 199 to the Polo Club (1303 Jamestown Road) in Williamsburg, and back to RJ’s for entertainment and raffles. There is no entry fee. Donations from the heart will be accepted. Ride pace and grouping is up to each individual. A local motorcycle club is sponsoring a fundraising event for the Free Clinic of Franklin County.
The Blue Knights of Virginia Chapter XVIII (the Franklin County Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club) is sponsoring Free Wheelin’ for the Free Clinic, a new poker run.
The event will be held Saturday, April 24. Cost per rider is $10 and cars are welcome.
Proceeds will be donated to help the Free Clinic of Franklin County rev up its building fund campaign.

On Saturday April 10, 2010, VFW Post 8169 will be holding its 2nd Annual Poker Run to benefit local area Combat Veterans and their families.
100% of all money raised will go directly to the myriad of programs we manage that assists veterans, their families, widows and orphans in our community.
The Post is located 2 miles East of Scottsville on Route 6 in Fluvanna County. Registration starts at 8:30 am. Cost will be $20.00 per rider, which includes a free meal. The ride will be approximately 100 miles.
